TU is once again among Baltimore’s best
Baltimore Sun staff, readers list the region’s best people and places

The Baltimore Sun’s staff critics and readers scoured the area for 2019’s best, and found it at Towson University.
Readers chose TU as best college/university. That recognition reflects the many high marks and designations bestowed upon TU by other publications, including as a best value and top public university.
Towson Tigers quarterback Tom Flacco was also a reader favorite, selected as best college athlete. Kudos for Flacco follows a remarkable debut campaign at TU, where he led the Tigers to the playoffs and brought home numerous postseason awards.
The Baltimore Sun readers voted in a March online poll.
The winners will be celebrated at a congratulatory party held in the Assembly Room bar and restaurant on May 9 featuring the “best” foods and services mentioned on the list. If you would like to celebrate the successes of TU and the greater Baltimore area, purchase event tickets.
