Celebrating 20 Tigers in their 20s
Towson University hosts event that honors its young alumni that are impacting their professions and communities

Towson University’s young alumni are making their mark in the world. Whether it’s in business, media, education, health professions and more, young Tigers are out in the world making a true impact.
In honor of those young alumni, Towson University’s Alumni Relations is presenting Twenty Tigers in their Twenties, an award that recognizes young alumni whose achievements and contributions have positively impacted their profession, community or Towson University.
Alumni Relations relies heavily on the Towson University community and beyond to identify worthy candidates. This includes deans, professors, academic advisors, coaches, family members, friends and co-workers.
After compiling the submissions, the Alumni Recognition Committee of TU’s Alumni Association board sifts through all the nominations and narrows down the field to 20 recipients.
Beginning in 2017, Twenty Tigers in Their Twenties reception began after Alumni Relations and the Towson University Alumni Association saw that many recent TU graduates were already positively impacting their communities and making important contributions in their professions.
The reception allows TU to celebrate these alumni and highlight the ways they are both giving back and building on what they learned at TU.
“We think highlighting the accomplishments of our young alumni in this way not only helps them maintain positive momentum but also inspires current students and other young alumni,” says Chandler Vicchio, assistant director of Alumni Social Media, Career & Volunteer Services.
“It’s important to see that you don’t have to wait until later in your career to make an impact or accomplish significant goals.”
This year’s list of recipients feature alumni from each of Towson University’s six colleges, with graduates as recent as 2018. The 2019 Twenty Tigers in Their Twenties recipients are:
