Relive the excitement of TU men’s basketball’s 2022 CAA regular season championship on Monday, Nov. 7, when the Tigers open 2022–23 against UAlbany at 7 p.m. in SECU Arena.
The team will raise the championship banner and attempt to break the SECU Arena attendance record. To do that, athletics is hosting Tigers Goh Night Mode for the first game of the season.
Those planning to attend the home opener should wear black, and there will be a special Goh Tigers black T-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans. There are also plenty of fun giveaways for students, including:
- Free DP Dough calzones to the first 500 students
- A chance to win Chick-fil-A for a term and a 40” TV
After last year’s championship season, the Tigers have high expectations this year. Coming into the season, TU was ranked first in the Preseason CAA Coaches’ Poll, receiving 12 of 13 first place votes. The Tigers also placed three players on the All-CAA Preseason First Team with Nicolas Timberlake, Charles Thompson and Cam Holden earning the honors.
