The deadlines for both are Nov. 4.
October 3, 2022
Grant season is in high gear at TU. The Towson University Foundation (TUF) and Tall-Wiedefeld Society (TWS) are encouraging TU community members to submit grant applications for the TUF and TWS grant programs. The deadlines are Friday, Nov. 4.
Now in its fifth year, the TUF Grant Program has $100,000 available for projects led by TU faculty and staff members, with up to $25,000 granted per award. Project submissions should align with one or more TU Strategic Plan goals and accomplish one of the following: enhance and expand educational opportunities in and outside the classroom, launch a new endeavor to understand and address a community need or underwrite an emerging need at the university. Awards will be announced in mid-December, and funding will be available in January 2023. The TU Foundation grant application (2023) is available here.
In the inaugural year of presenting grant awards, the TWS Grant Program has $25,000 available for projects led by TU faculty/staff members and student groups and their advisers, with up to $5,000 granted per award. The TWS Grant Program funds important and life-changing programs and experiences for our students and those who lead and mentor them. Applications are encouraged for projects or programs that focus primarily, but not exclusively, on women in our TU community. Partial funding of projects will be considered. The TWS grant committee and society membership will review all applications and vote on awards. Winners will be notified on Feb. 15, 2023. The TWS grant application, timeline and instructions—along with a separate budget sheet—are available here.
