Commencement is the biggest event on Towson University’s campus, with moments that will stay with students and their families for the rest of their lives.
Capturing those moments are the members of the Towson University Photographic Services team, who took thousands of photos showcasing thousands of TU’s newest graduates over the four ceremonies held during Commencement week.
With the dust, or in this case, the turf of Johnny Unitas® Stadium settled, we asked Director of Photographic Services Lauren Castellana '13 and her team to pick some of their favorite photos from the week.
“As photographers, one of our favorite events to shoot is Commencement,” Castellana says. “From the fun caps to the big hugs and the bigger smiles, getting to capture these special moments in our students’ lives make us proud to be at Towson University.”
Here are some of the best photos from the 2022 Spring Commencement ceremonies, featuring work from Assistant Director of Photographic Services Alexander Wright ’18, student photographers Nicholas Sibol ’23 and Japhet Chukwuma ’24, freelance photographer Sam Levitan and former Director of Photographic Services Kanji Takeno.
