As Towson University enters the home stretch of the spring term, the campus is bustling with activities and events for the entire community. See what students have been working on all term at a theatre performance or art show, attend a lecture or enjoy a movie night.

TU Onstage: Performances

TU Music for the Stage: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream
April 22–24 | Stephens Hall Theatre

The regional premiere of Michael Ching’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” a breath-based opera performed by TU students.

QuinTUs Faculty Concert: An Evening of Humor with PDQ Bach 
Thursday, May 5 | 6 p.m. | Recital Hall, CA 3066

Come have a laugh with TU's faculty vocal quintet: Lori Hultgren, Leneida Crawford, Min Jin, Phillip Collister and Esther Lee with special guest Aaron Ziegel. The concert will be a fun evening of opera and choral works by PDQ Bach, a well-known musicologist and satirist. 

TU Winds Ensemble in Concert

Join the Towson University Wind Ensemble for an evening of classical and contemporary masterworks for winds and percussion.

Paradise Lost 
May 4–7 | Center for the Arts Mainstage Theatre

A classic epic poem, rewritten by Erin Shields with a feminist twist, is brought to TU’s stage by directors Stephen Nunns and Jared Hanson.

TU’s Spring 2022 Dance Company performs a series of vibrant works. Featured choreographers include faculty members Tracie Burton-Hooper, Nicole A. Martinell and Caitlin McAfee as well as special guest choreographer Xiang Xu.

TigerFest
April 23–29

An entire week of fun dedicated to being a Towson Tiger. Unique events are spread throughout campus each day, including a concert featuring Rico Nasty and Flo Milli. 

Tigers Lead: Leadership Development Program

A program that guides students in discovering themselves as leaders and developing critical skills and strategies through hands-on activities and dialogue.  

CABFLIX: Presenting “Twilight”

Take a trip down memory lane while watching “Twilight.” Free entry and concessions provided as well as a chance to win “Twilight” merchandise.

An Evening with Etgar Keret: Baltimore Hebrew Institute

Honor community educators and communal professionals for their incredible work throughout the pandemic while spending a relaxing evening with internationally acclaimed Israeli writer and filmmaker Etgar Keret.

49th-Annual Pottery + Art Sale

Art students, faculty and staff present their artwork for sale. Disciplines include ceramics, graphic design, illustration, interdisciplinary object design, metals and jewelry, photography, printmaking, sculpture and more. Purchase proceeds benefit the TU Foundation and the artists.

Senior Show & Undergraduate Juried Exhibition

The annual undergraduate juried exhibition features student works that represent the tracks offered at TU, including painting, sculpture, graphic design, illustration, crafts, metalworking/jewelry, ceramics, digital art and design, photography and printmaking. This year’s juror is Schroder Cherry, artist and curator of the James E. Lewis Museum of Art at Morgan State University.
