SCHEDULE UPDATE: Due to an inclement weather forecast in the Baltimore area, the TU4U session scheduled for Saturday, March 12 has been canceled.

Towson University is excited to welcome prospective Tigers to TU4U, the annual admissions event that brings admitted students to campus to learn what it means to be a TU student.

This year, TU4U will be held on three days throughout the spring inside the newly renovated University Union:

  • Friday, March 18
  • Saturday, April 2
  • Saturday, April 9

Those interested in attending one of the dates can register on the TU4U website.

In the past, TU4U took place at SECU Arena on one weekend with thousands of students. By splitting the events and moving them, TU admissions offers a more tailored experience to visitors.

“We get to host the same number of students but offer a more enjoyable and personalized visit,” says Kristen Hughes, associate director for Towson University admissions.

“We also get to keep everybody at the core part of campus and showcase our new and amazing University Union. We want our future students and their families to come into this great, new building and experience the hub of our campus.”

TU4U is an all-day event. The morning will hold campus life and academic experiences, with a student organization fair followed by academic sessions featuring faculty members from all six colleges.

The afternoon session will allow admitted students to meet with staff members from the student services departments: financial aid, academic advising, Student Success Programs, the Honors College and more.

And between the sessions, visitors will enjoy a complimentary lunch at one of TU’s food courts or dining halls. This is followed by tours of campus, Burdick Hall and the residence halls.

While many students have been on a normal campus tour—that are still available throughout the spring—it doesn’t compare to the comprehensive experience offered by TU4U.

“This is a very customizable day,” says Daniel Zawacki, associate director of Towson University admissions. “That’s why I frame it, ‘Whatever you want to learn about, the intent is when you leave us at the end of the day, you have no more questions. There is nothing about Towson University you haven’t had the chance to explore.’”

Admitted students interested in attending TU4U should register for one check-in time on the date they are interested in attending. Due to space limitations, only one guest will be permitted with an admitted student.

Prospective students will need their TU student ID number to register, and a confirmation email with event details will be sent upon the completion of registration.
