Towson University Marching Band returned to the nation's largest commemoration of military service

More than 180 members of the Towson University Marching Band paraded up Fifth Ave. in New York City Friday as part of the 103rd annual New York City Veterans Day Parade.

Joining more than 20,000 other participants, the TU Marching Band paraded along the 20-block (about 1 mile) route playing the “U.S. Armed Forces Medley,” which includes the official songs of the five uniformed branches of the U.S. military.

The event that was broadcast live on WABC and the Armed Forces Network as well as streamed online.

It was the band's second time marching in the parade, which is the largest commemoration of service in the nation recognizing veterans of all branches and eras of service. The marching band previously participated in 2018.
