Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute Celebrates Third Anniversary

The Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute, which offers a continuum of leadership development solutions for individuals and corporations, celebrates its third anniversary in Fall 2024. To recognize this important milestone and chronicle the Institute’s success, the Institute unveils an Impact Report and video, which feature interviews with and testimonials from prominent leaders from across the region.

The Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute is anchored at Towson University and was founded in 2021 by Dr. Grasmick, with foundational donors Whiting-Turner and St. John Properties. The Institute seeks to develop ethical, competent and civic-minded leaders through a cascade of training offerings, including its three signature programs: Next Level Leaders, Professional Leadership Program for Women, and Spark Brilliance Executive Leadership Program. The Institute also provides a range of custom training programs tailor-made to meet the needs of each unique organization. The Institute’s mission is to uplift the entire region guided by the ethos that great leadership results in great organizations, which causes entire communities to flourish. 

“I have been astounded to witness the impact that our Institute has had on the region in just three short years,” shares Grasmick. “Over 900 organizations from across our region have partnered with us in sending thousands of leaders to numerous leadership programs. We have developed and delivered customized training programs across multiple industries and government agencies and have provided coaching and mentoring for executive and next generation leaders. Since 2021, our Professional Leadership Program for Women has matriculated over 100 confident and competent leaders. And, due to the generosity of our many donors, we have been able to offer dozens of public leadership development workshops, annually, free of charge, or for a nominal fee, reaching aspiring leaders who could never have participated otherwise.”

The Institute’s Executive Director Erin Moran agrees, sharing, “The Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute’s success is best demonstrated by expanded positive influence and impact of our participants. The intangible qualities they gain through our programs, such as integrity, compassion and trustworthiness, are not easily measured, but experienced by the teams they lead.”
