Advising & Degree Completion Planning
All students work with a faculty advisor who is committed to guiding you in selecting classes to fulfill your degree requirements. Your advisor is also able to provide advice on research opportunities, how to apply for graduate school, and any other challenges or concerns you may be facing. The main component of this process is the degree completion plan (DCP). Your degree completion plan is your road map to graduation and helps you plan which courses to take and when. The sooner you start one, the better! Once you reach 45 or more credits, you are required to have a degree completion plan on file with your advisor.
