- Upsilon Phi Delta is to further the professional competence and dedication of the individual members in and for the profession of healthcare management.
- Sigma Phi Omega, the national academic honor and professional society in Gerontology, has established the Delta Rho Chapter at Towson University. The honor society recognizes excellence of those who study Gerontology and aging and the outstanding service of professionals who work with or on behalf of older adults.
Scholarships

Neil E. Gallagher Scholarship
Dr. Neil E. Gallagher was a guiding force to the Health Science Department and to Towson University. With over 30 years of service, Dr. Gallagher had unlimited enthusiasm for students, faculty, alumni and the university community. The intent of this scholarship is to honor Dr. Gallagher by acknowledging deserving Public Health (PH) and Health Science students – undergraduate and graduate.
Eligible candidates are enrolled students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a declared major (undergraduate or graduate) in PH or Health Science. The number of recipients and size of award will be determined at the discretion of the selection committee. Recipients who meet criteria will be eligible to reapply in successive years. A call for applications will be sent out when funds are available.
