Program Requirements
Program requirements vary slightly based on your catalog year. Your catalog year and specific program requirements can be found in your Towson Online Services Student Dashboard under the "Academics" menu. You can review the program specific requirements by following the links below:

Course Requirements
Certain courses must be completed in a timely manner to progress smoothly through the degree requirements. Note the following prerequisites:
- HLTH 207 should be taken before (or at the same time as) HLTH 310
- HLTH 310 should be taken before (or at the same time as) HLTH 335 and HLTH 339
The following courses must be completed before you take HLTH 315:
- ENGL 102 (or equivalent)
- HLTH 222 or HLTH 339 (depends on catalog year)
HLTH 315 must be completed before you take:
- HLTH 402 and HLTH 432
- HLTH 425 and HLTH 430 (these two courses are not required for PH majors starting with the 2023-24 catalog)
Internships
All coursework required for the public health major must be completed prior to internship, including HLTH electives.
Students earn 6, 9, or 12 credits and are not paid as interns. Students will be matched with an internship site by the public health internship coordinator. More information can be found at Public Health Internships.
