The Department of Kinesiology is one of the largest departments in the College of Health Professions, with over 30 full-time faculty and more than 1,200 undergraduate students. Currently residing in Burdick Hall, we offer students enhanced learning experiences in our state-of-the-art classrooms, a computer classroom, a student computer lab, an athletic training simulation lab, practical instructional facilities, faculty research space, and a gymnasium facility.
Students graduating from our programs join the work force in a range of fields, including exercise physiology, sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, physical education, recreation management, health and fitness, community relations, professional sports, medical and pharmaceutical sales, and sports medicine and physical therapy clinics.
Many also go on for further training through graduate studies in areas such as athletic training, public health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nutrition, sport management, education, and chiropractics.
