This interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary minor is a strong complement to majors in the liberal arts, social sciences, business and the arts. Apply coursework that emphasizes both commonalities among women and differences according to race, ethnicity, sexuality and class. View degree requirements in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Women’s and Gender Studies minors must complement a minimum of 12 credits toward the minor, with at least 9 units at the upper level. Prepare for graduate work in a discipline that includes an emphasis on women or for careers that require knowledge of women’s issues.
