Pre Level I

Pre Level I consists of all the prerequisite courses needed for acceptance into the Elementary Education major. During this phase, students are designated as Pre-Elementary Education majors and take all of the Towson University Core Curriculum courses and the Elementary Education prerequisite courses.

To apply for the Elementary Education program (Level 1 application):

• Attend a Level 1 orientation meeting. Contact the Elementary Education Department at eled AT_TOWSON for orientation dates.
• Complete the application you receive at the orientation meeting and compile the supporting documentation listed on the application.
• To be accepted into the Elementary Education program, you must have:

1. Completed all the courses on the left side of the program checklist
2. Have a GPA of at least 3.00 (3)
3. Have no grade lower than a C in any course on the left side of the checklist
