Sandbox
Located in Hawkins Hall 210, the Sandbox is a collaborative environment where College of Education faculty and students can apply the design thinking process to promote making and to create relevant, engaging learning experiences.
The comprehensive suite of resources within the Sandbox include cutting-edge technological devices such as interactive smartboards, 3D printers, and programmable robots so that future educators can gain first-hand experience with the tools of 21st century schools. In addition, the Sandbox was carefully designed to enable College of Education students to work together as they identify problems and create solutions while proceeding through the five stages of design thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
