Professional Communication Minor

Communication is intrinsic to the people-first change sought within organizations and communities. In the professional communication minor, you’ll develop an understanding and appreciation of human message exchanges and recognize how communication influences social, political, artistic and cultural existence. Courses emphasize advocating for change, engaging differences, and leading with purpose.
Requirements for the Minor
The professional communication minor requires 18 units, including 9 units of required courses and 9 units of elective courses. At least 12 units must be upper-level courses (300-400 level). The department will accept up to 6 units of compatible transfer courses toward the minor. A maximum of 3 units can be shared between this minor and a student’s major.
