This undergraduate student research lab space is available for students enrolled in:
- COMM 490, Internship in Communication Studies
- COMM 495, Independent Study in Communication Studies
- CLST 490, Independent Study in Cultural Studies
- CLST 495, Internship in Cultural Studies
The lab is also available for students involved in ongoing research projects. The lab is conveniently located on the 5th floor of the Psychology Building in RM 503. This space is dedicated to allowing students to collaborate and focus on their research.
Equipment Available in the Lab
There are a variety of items in the lab for students to access including computers, printers, transcription pedals, audio recorders and more. Students will also be able to have access to research data software in this lab. This includes software like:
- Nvivo
- SPSS
- MAXQDA
Open Research Lab Hours
Students can drop into the lab as needed Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. If the space is needed outside of these open drop-in hours or you would like to reserve the space for a group project, please email Vickie Hook at vhook AT_TOWSON to see what options may be available.
Please note that the COMM Scholars Undergrad Research Club also meets in this space on Mondays 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. to discuss ongoing projects. During that time, the lab will not be available for use by other students or groups.
