Student Research Symposium

The Student Research Symposium is hosted by the Department of Biological Sciences and is an excellent opportunity for Towson University students (both graduate and undergraduate) to showcase their research and ideas in a public forum.  This fall, the event is back in-person and will take place in the brand-new Science Complex.  Attendance at the poster session is not required to submit and present a poster but is highly encouraged.  All students are eligible to present their work by registering.

2024 Highlights:

  • Date/Time: Thursday, December 5th, 2024 (11:00am-2:00pm)
  • Location: Science Complex, 2nd & 3rd floor 
  • Attendance at the poster session is not required to submit and present a poster
  • Awards for best presentations
  • New for 2024: You MUST submit your poster to be printed AND schedule the print appointment at least three business days before the poster session. Details and registration can be found here.

Judging

If you wish to have your poster judged you can indicate that on the registration form, then you MUST upload A PDF version of your poster by 5pm on December 4th 2024 at the link below. There will be two categories, one for undergraduate and one for graduate students. See the judging rubric for details about the judging criteria. 

In order for you to have your poster judged, you will have needed to:

1. Upload A PDF Version of your poster here by 5pm on Wednesday,  December 4th 2024.
2. The poster file name should be in the following format:  
        StudentLastName_MentorLastName
     

Winners will be announced before the conclusion of the semester and in TU Today. Honorable mentions may also be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
