Research Fellowships
Ronald and Linda Raspet Summer Research Fellowship
Deadline: Friday, February 14, 2025
Fellowships for up to a minimum of $5000 are available for Summer 2025. The award
will fund 8-10 weeks of research during which the student will typically spend up
to 40 hours per week in research-related activities under the guidance of a faculty
supervisor.
Eligibility:
1. Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, Environmental Science or MB3 Major at Towson University.
2. Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing (this includes 4+1 UGs) at Towson University during the period of the award.
3. Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.00 in Chemistry.
4. Have a tenured or tenure-track faculty member in the Chemistry Department of Towson University as a Research Mentor.

In addition to the application form, a letter of support from your proposed faculty advisor as well as a brief (no more than two pages) research proposal are required. The research proposal should be prepared by the student with guidance from the faculty mentor. The faculty letter should reflect the extent of the student contribution to the proposal. Linda Sweeting Summer Research Fellowship

4. Have a tenured or tenure-track faculty, or lecturer or clinical faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, Biology or PAGS of Towson University as a Research Mentor.
