The Health Center can provide free safer sex supplies to Towson University Resident Assistants (RAs) and student organizations upon request. This program is intended to increase Towson University students’ access to safer sex supplies.
If you are planning a program or event dedicated to promoting good sexual health practices, or if you are just interested in having these supplies available to your residents, please complete this request form.
All packages will include external condoms, internal condoms, dental dams, an assortment of personal lubricants, and information sheets to go along with each item. These supplies are open to Towson University Resident Assistants (RAs) and student organizations ONLY. Products must be intended for use by TU students and may not be sold.
First time requesters of the Safer Sex Supply Grant must either (A) request a health educator to be present at your event, or (B) send a representative of your organization to participate in a 15-20 minute educational consultation with a health educator at the Health Center to ensure knowledge of proper storage, use, and distribution. Once your request has been processed, you will receive an email letting you know that your items are ready for pick-up at the Health Center in the open classroom on the first floor (WW1202).
All recipients of the Safer Sex Supply Grant will be required to complete an evaluation form at the end of their event, program, or distribution period. RAs or organizations who do not comply with this evaluation, will not be permitted to receive this grant again in the future.
Safer sex supplies must be stored at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, away from sharp objects. DO NOT store safer sex supplies in a car.
NOTE: If these supplies are intended to be used for a sexual health program, we recommend requesting a program with our SHAG Peers. Programs can be requested by using the Workshop Request Form.
Please note that this is an application, not a guarantee of receipt of items. We require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice to process requests. Please plan accordingly and submit the application with enough lead time for your event/distribution period.
