The State of Maryland provides a generous benefit package to eligible TU employees with a wide range of benefit options that include:

State of Maryland Health Benefits

Benefits run on the Calendar Year (CY). Opportunities to enroll are:

  1. newly hired employees (effective date 1st of the month following date of hire)
  2. employees with a life event (see Workday page) such as marriage, birth, divorce, death, loss of coverage, etc. (must be reported within 60 days of event). Life event requires documentation, see documentation info (Workday page)
  3. open enrollment occurring annually each fall (effective date 1st of the following calendar year)

Prescription Drug Program

Prescription Bottle

The prescription drug program is a free-standing benefit and you must be enrolled in order to participate.  Prescription Drugs are not included in the Medical Plans.

2024 Prescription Drug program is administered by CVS/Caremark.  Contact CVS/Caremark at 1-800-863-5488.

Effective January 1, 2025 MedImpact is the State of Maryland’s Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM)
