What you need to know for the Thanksgiving break
How to get home, important campus closures and more helpful information

Towson University is closed Nov. 23–25 for a holiday break. Below, we’ve rounded up information about campus closures and other important info for those heading home or staying on campus over the holiday.
Free Shuttle to BWI or Penn Station
Parking & Transportation Services is providing TU students, faculty and staff free rides to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport and Penn Station via the Thanksgiving Break BWI-Penn Shuttle.
Shuttles depart from the Union Garage bus loop on Nov. 21 and Nov. 22 with a return ride back to campus Nov. 27. To reserve your ride, visit bit.ly/TUHolidayShuttle.
Friendsgiving Dinner
The International Students & Scholars Office and International Students Association present a Friendsgiving dinner Nov. 21 from 5–7 p.m. in Psychology 407.
FoodShare Drive and Remote Pickup
Dining Services is hosting a food drive in support of the FoodShare and will match every pound of food donated through Nov. 30. Collection bins can be found in Au Bon Pain, Newell Den, Glen Mini Mart and the West Village C-Mart.
The FoodShare will be closed for in-person shopping during the break, but students, faculty and staff may request remote pickup for as many as 10 items per week. Requested items will be available for pickup at the green FoodShare donation bin on the second floor of the University Union. The remote pickup form can be found at towson.edu/FoodShare.
Housing Closures
All dormitory-style residence halls close Nov. 23 at 9 a.m. and reopen Nov. 27 at 12 p.m.
Nine-month, apartment-style residences do not close for the break. Community centers in these residences will be closed, however Resident Assistant staff will be on call if needed.
Campus Rec Closure
Campus Recreation will be closed from Nov. 20–27. Facilities will reopen on Monday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 a.m.
Dining Hours
TU Dining Services locations will operate on a limited schedule during the break. All locations will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, Nov. 28.
