Employee Assistance Program

Towson’s employee assistance program — Guidance Resources — offers someone to talk to and resources to consult whenever and wherever you need them. Your Guidance Resources benefits will give you and your dependents confidential support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues. Services are available 24/7 at no charge.

TU Counseling Center

If you are seeking mental health assistance for yourself or family members, we can assist you in finding appropriate resources outside of the university. The Counseling Center also offers consultation services to support and advise you when you are dealing with students in distress.

Health Benefits

Employees enrolled in one of TU’s health benefit plans can access the State of Maryland Wellness Program and mental health coverage.

Physical Well-Being

Physical activity can help to reduce stress, improve sleep and increase energy levels.

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation offers facilities and programs that promote physical activity. Faculty and staff have complimentary memberships to the campus rec center, including access to the pool, massage chairs, group exercise classes, Nature RX, equipment rentals and much more.

Household memberships are also available. Download the free Campus Rec app for easy access to equipment and class reservations. It’s available in the App Store and Google Play Store. 

Community Dance Center

TU’s Community Dance Center boasts a comprehensive curriculum, renowned faculty and highly trained instructors. The center offers excellence in dance education for children, adults and professionals.

Free Physicals

The state of Maryland provides annual physical screenings free of charge to those enrolled in its benefits plans.

Tiger Trails is a series of walking and running routes throughout TU’s campus. The trail map provides distanced routes to encourage physical activity and fitness.

Sculpture Walk

TU’s Public Art Collection is a distinguished collection of outdoor sculptures commissioned, donated or lent to the university by individual artists, alumni and students. Start at the Center for the Arts.

TU offers free access to LinkedIn Learning, which provides online video-based instruction on new business, software, technology and creative skills from nationally recognized experts in a wide range of content areas.

Faculty and staff can access technology self-help resources 24/7 or by searching technology how-to articles in the TechHelp Knowledge Base system (login with your TU NetID to see all available articles).
