Resident Assistants work to develop and maintain positive relationships with the residents
on their floors. They assess the social and educational needs and interests of their
residents and present quality programs that meet those needs. RA's promote and encourage
an appreciation of diversity among residents on their floors and within the campus
community. Also, they address all inappropriate behavior and are accessible and approachable;
they project a demeanor that is kind, caring, and friendly.
Community Center staff serve as a central resource for the community by maintaining
the administrative functions for each community desk. They must act as a role model
for students and be aware of community emergency procedures. They maintain direct
contact with students, faculty, and staff.
Office Assistants work to assist central office staff to complete daily task and special
assignments. Office Assistants must be knowledgeable of campus resources and flexible
due to the variety of tasks and assignments.
The crew assists the Housing Facilities Assistant with moving, distribution, and storage
of Residence Hall furniture, inventory management of departmental and university property,
and the repair of replacement of residence hall furniture and equipment.
