Young Artist Studio I Grades K–2
6 Saturdays I February 15 – March 29 I 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
No class on March 15 I Snow make up day on April 5
This workshop is designed to inspire joy and creativity in the art-making process for young artists. Children will explore a wide range of materials, develop skills, and use the building blocks of art to observe and express their world in new ways. They will be introduced to artists and art traditions to enhance the studio experience and their creative expression. This class can be taken multiple times as the projects are always changing!

Mixed Media Studio I Grades 3–5

Mixed Media Studio is designed for youth who love to be immersed in making artwork! In this workshop, participants will explore a range of 2D and 3D art processes and materials that may include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and collage with an emphasis on developing new artistic skills. Projects will offer opportunities to create works from both observation and imagination. They will be introduced to artists and art traditions to enhance the studio experience and their creative expression. This class can be taken multiple times as the projects are always changing!

Observational Drawing & Portfolio Prep I Grades 6–10
8 Saturdays I February 1 – March 29 I 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The Observational Drawing class is for students who are interested in refining their drawing skills and creating a finished body of work (portfolio). The focus is on drawing from direct observation using a variety of drawing media. The projects are also designed to assist students in meeting the standards required by area art magnet schools for admission to their programs. Students may repeat the class to expand their skills and strengthen their portfolios.
