Computer Labs
Computer labs maintained by the Department of Art are located on floor 4 of the Center
for the Arts building.
During scheduled open hours, homework lab CA 4012 is open to students enrolled in
art, art history and art education classes starting the second week of the fall and
spring semesters. This lab is monitored closely. All labs are closed when the university
is closed, including holiday breaks.

The Homework Computer Lab 4012 usually opens to Art, Art History and Art Education majors the 2nd week of the fall and spring semesters and closes the second to last day of finals.
The lab is closed when the university is closed, including holidays and inclement weather.

Printing Policy in Computer Labs
Students enrolled in graphic, illustration, photography or digital art classes are allotted 50 letter size sheets per semester.
Standard Software
The following software can be found in most, if not all, Department of Art + Design, Art History, and Art Education computer labs:
- Adobe Creative Suite 2022
- Storyboard
- Microsoft Office 365
- Mac OS 12 (which covers Garageband, Pages, etc)
- Maya and Toon Boom in the main labs only
Storage
- Students are encouraged to purchase thumbdrives or external hard drives.
- All new computers have combo-drives or super-drives, and USB-2 and Firewire ports.
- Zip drives are no longer offered.
- Undergraduate Art + Design students who are currently enrolled in or have completed ART 217 (or equivalent) receive access to storage on the Department of Art + Design server. All MFA graduate students automatically receive storage as well.
