High School Honor Orchestra
The 4th annual Towson University Honor Orchestra Festival will be held on the Towson University Campus on Saturday, May 10.

High school string players, join us for a fun and rewarding experience! This one-day clinic includes rehearsals and masterclasses throughout the day with our orchestra director and applied faculty. It will conclude with a public performance at 8:00 p.m.
What to Expect
The festival will feature standard orchestral repertoire from the professional literature. Repertoire includes music for Strings, Winds and Percussion (FULL Symphony Orchestra). High School String players will perform masterworks with Towson University Wind, Brass and Percussion Players.
The orchestra will work with a guest conductor and play the finest and most advanced music from the classical as well as contemporary orchestral repertoire. The ultimate goal for the day is to provide a fun and rewarding experience to high school string players.
How to Participate
The Honor orchestra festival is open to high school students, grades 10 - 12.
Students are chosen and invited to participate in these honor orchestras solely based on music director recommendation and input. Students who have been nominated by their directors will receive an email from Dr. Gotoff with instructions to enroll and submit payment through the online portal. Please do not submit any payment until you have been instructed via email to do so.
For Music Directors
Only music directors should use the nomination form. Your rating and nomination plays a major part in the selection process. Please submit all nominations of students by Friday, March 28.

Fees
There is a $38.00 Honor Orchestra fee per person. This fee can be paid using the online portal (link will be provided via email) prior to attending and covers facility use, a 2025 Towson University Honor Orchestra T-Shirt and lunch.
The admission charge for the concert is $10.00.
