Eligibility
Please note these requirements carefully.
Eligible programs (and status):

Junior, Senior pursuing a B.S. Computer Science (Security/Cyber Operations track). Sophomore's promoting to a Junior in Fall are also eligible to apply.

First or second year of a master's degree - M.S. in Computer Science Security Track or M.S. in Applied Information Technology with the Computer Forensics or the Information Assurance and Security certificate.

Students pursuing Ph.D. in Information Technology in a Cybersecurity related area.
The student must also meet all of the following conditions:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be in one of the above eligible programs
- Have a GPA of 3.2+ in B.S. or 3.5+ in M.S./Ph.D.
- Be capable of getting a security clearance for Federal employment.
Obligations
- Students selected to participate in the DoD CSA will be required to sign a written agreement obligating them to work for the DoD, as a civilian employee for one calendar year for each year of scholarship assistance.
- Jobs will be located throughout the United States. However, the overwhelming majority will be in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Therefore, participants will be required to be available for placement nationwide.
- The recipient is also required to serve an internship
- By accepting the CSA scholarship and signing the service agreement the recipient is required to accept any offer that meets program requirements and is considered reasonable by the CSA Program Office
