Freshman Orientation

New Student Orientation will be held in June and July 2024 for freshmen starting TU in the Fall 2024 semester. All remaining availability for students to attend is in July- all June dates are at capacity. Don't forget to register your family member or guest for Family Orientation.

At New Student Orientation, you'll meet fellow incoming students and learn about your course schedule, academic standards, living on/off campus and what it means to be a part of the TU community.

• Register for placement testing as soon as possible after returning your enrollment contract and before submitting your Academic Interest Form
• Complete your Academic Interest Form so your adviser can create your schedule of classes 

Complete your pre-orientation module no later than 48 hours prior to orientation.

• Students: use your NetID and password to login to the student portal to ensure your participation is recorded.  
• Guests: Use the guest portal, not your student's login, to participate in the pre-orientation module. Signing up is easy and free.  Use the Guest portal, not your student's log-in, to participate in the pre-orientation module. Signing up is easy and free.

Complete all three mandatory prevention programs — Alcohol; Prescription Addiction Opioids; Sexual Violence. Login with your TU ID.

The deadline for completing immunization and TB screening requirements is August 15.

A fee up to $175, charged to your bill, covers all Welcome to TU programs, orientation materials, and student staffing for all programs. This fee applies to in-person and virtual orientation. See information on fee waivers and our fee policy.
